The Surfsand Resort staff made us feel like we were the only ones staying at the resort- we recieved the best service ever. The view would have been enough on it's own- but the staff was friendly helpful and helped to make our stay special. The ammenities were wonderful- it was the most relaxing vacation ever.

Not much to complain about. The weather could have been nicer, but the place is truly great.

It's location right on the beach - I could watch the rising sun and the setting sun from my suite .
The shambles that was the booking experience ( this was the only reason I didn't give the staff a better endorsement , but it may have been more a function of poor systems and not the staff's fault at all ! ) . Your original confirmation of a booking for me was followed more or less immediately by an email from Surfsand saying such a room was not available . They did the right thing by offering me an upgrade for the same price , but this was followed by another error when my new confirmation email referred to a room type which had never been part of our discussions ! In the event , everything went right on the day and I enjoyed my stay . The only other negative comment I would have refers not just to Surfsand but to so many other US hotels - they discriminate against the solo traveller . - I have to pay the same price for my room as two , three or four people pay . This makes it so expensive for the solo traveller !

I thoroughly enjoyed the beachfront patio and easy access to the beach, very convenient for me. The staff were attentive and the decor throughout was tastefully done.
More accessible seating options would be appreciated.

The location was amazing. The local restaurants and coffee shops were very freindly and locally owned which made them feel one of a kind. The town was queit and slow and touristee without being pushy or cheap. The area is fairly quiet and kept decent hours - no late night partiers. No bar noise etc. It was very relaxing and pretty. Some great outdoor spots and amazing beaches and local State Park.
The price was high. The reaturant was always packed.

We had an amazing family getaway at Surfsand Resort! The beachfront location was perfect, and we loved the beautiful views of Haystack Rock from our room. The kids enjoyed the daily activities like beach bonfires and s'mores, and the fresh cookies at check-in were a good treat. The staff was friendly.
Housekeeping could use some improvement.
